Rev. Genelle Netland, Senior Pastor

Pastor Netland grew up in the Southeast Iowa Synod. She's a graduate of Luther College with a BA in Public Communication Communicative Disorders and has one year of graduate work in Speech Pathology at the University of Kansas. Pastor Genelle has worked for Lutheran Campus Ministry at both KU and the Twin Cities. She has served with youth at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis and did her internship in Avon, CT. She started at Calvary on September 1st, 2001 and was installed as senior pastor on July 11, 2009.

Rev. Andrew Ronnevik, Associate Pastor

Pastor Andrew came to Calvary in December 2009.  A Minnesota native, he graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. His pastoral internship was in Cairo, Egypt, where he served a small expatriate congregation and worked closely with the Sudanese refugee community. He has also been an adult education instructor in Washington, D.C.; an addiction recovery advocate in Seattle, WA; and a community member with folks who have developmental disabilities in south India.

Joan Meulebroeck,

Director of Children's Ministry

Joan Meulebroeck began her work with Calvary in January of 2003 as membership secretary. In June of 2009 she was hired as Director of Children’s Ministries which includes Calvary’s preschool. She holds a degree in Elementary Education from Bemidji State University with an emphasis in Kindergarten and Math. She was Director of Christian Education and Music at St. Peter Lutheran in Dubuque, IA prior to returning to Bemidji.

Bill Beyer, Visitation Pastor

Nancy was raised was in Renville, MN and graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa with a BS in fine arts.  She interned as a Graphic Designer at Word CIty in Chicago and was an Art Director at Dakota Printing in Burnsville before moving to Bemidji in 1993.  SInce then, she has been a freelance graphic designer who has been contracted since 2009 by Calvary to work on publications  such as "Calvary Crossings".  Her passion is her family: husband Dave (dentist at Bemidji Dental Clinic),  Cassandra (BSU student & Gym Bin coach), and Ben (BHS class of 2012). The Schrams have been members of Calvary since 1993.

Gene Bright, Custodian

My name is Gene Bright, and I am a new janitor at Calvary Lutheran Church. I was born in St. Cloud, MN and graduated from Stillwater High School in St. Cloud. I am a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. I also do seasonal work for the Beltrami County Highway Department. There, I help to patch roads, paint crosswalks, and do landscaping around guard rails. I like to read, watch a little television and work in the garden.
