Calvary is a vibrant, intergenerational Christian church, gathering for worship, connecting with Christ, and serving our neighbor! We’re a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and we’ve been claimed by God’s gospel gift in Jesus: we are saved by grace through faith! You can join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. starting September 15, 2019 (8:15 and 9:30 in the summer), and on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m.
We’re deeply invested in our youth and families through our weekday preschool and mid-week confirmation and youth group programs. We have a strong commitment to serving our neighbors in Jesus’ name – we do this through annual summer mission trips and ongoing local partnerships with the homeless shelter, the food shelf, and many others.
Let the WORD of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with GRATITUDE in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
This year we will immerse ourselves in the practice of gratitude. As we live into a new mission, vision, core values, and strategic plan, we will be gathering to worship and flex the muscle of gratitude. The more we can express gratitude, the more gratitude grows in us, in our families, and in our communities.
For more than 100 years, we’ve been rooted in Bemidji, and we’re excited to see where God will take us as we live into our vision statement: God calls us to live faithfully, follow Jesus boldly, and serve others joyfully.
