“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
~ Romans 15:7 ~
Calvary is a vibrant, intergenerational Christian church, gathering for worship, connecting with Christ, and serving our neighbor! We’re a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and Calvary is open to all! We worship on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings.
Our Welcome Statement:
Calvary Lutheran Church believes that we are called to love God and love one another. We endeavor to show love in a variety of ways, starting with a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and environment in all phases of our ministry and worship. In particular, we acknowledge the painful history of the land where we worship; the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe people. Calvary Lutheran church is committed to the work of anti-racism. We affirm the sacredness of all of God’s children, and seek to be a place of peace and acceptance for all. Every person is invited to bring their whole selves– healing, broken, or any place in between– to join our journey and participate fully in our community. We are inclusive of all of God’s children and celebrate your age, ethnicity, race, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, family structure, economic status, ability or disability. We commit to loving and caring for each other, as we have been taught to do by our Savior, and we welcome everyone to our community in His name.
