Adventure Serve in the Twin Cities

This year’s Middle School (Grades 6-9 as of fall 2024) Summer Trip will be an Adventure Serve trip to the Twin Cities, June 15-17. We’ll leave Sunday afternoon in time to hang out and relax for a bit before heading to Feed My Starving Children and Manna Market for two service events on Monday. Then on Tuesday, we’ll be at Valley Fair when it opens and run around there most of the day before heading back to Bemidji by 10:00pm-ish. It’s a quick, meaningful and fun trip.

Register now with a deposit of $100. We’ll do group fundraising to reduce off the total cost. And, there will be enough individual fundraising for the remaining cost of the trip. We’re all in this  together to make the trip affordable.

The cost for the trip includes transportation (it’s kind of a long way) hotels and lodging, all the meals, service programming, and Valleyfair tickets.

Deposit $100 (everybody is invested)

We’ll make it possible for anyone to afford this trip. Scholarships for part of the funding are available.

We’re going to Denver!

Senior High Youth (Grades 9-12 this year) will travel to Denver, Colorado, July 12-19 this summer to partner with Youthworks and local organizations to meet the ongoing needs in the community in places like a food shelf, soup kitchen, children’s program, or elder care center.

Register now with a deposit of $150. We’ll do group fundraising to take $300 off the total cost. And, there will be enough individual fundraising for the remaining cost of the trip. We’re all in this  together to make the trip affordable.

The cost for the trip includes transportation (it’s kind of a long way) hotels and lodging, all the meals, and a week of programming provided by Youthworks. Think of it this way.
Total cost $1,200
Deposit $150 (everybody is invested)
Group fundraising $300
That leaves roughly $750 for individual fundraising (how much you raise is up to you)

A service trip brings us all together in a unique and meaningful way. Our perspectives on life expand, and kids experience the presence of the Spirit in others and themselves. We travel to be filled
and we come back overflowing. It’s an experience of a lifetime.

Each year, Calvary Lutheran Church offers opportunities to travel together as groups to grow in faith, have tons of fun, and experience the life of the church outside the building.
